  The Design Studio is a vehicle to examine and inquire into the issue of working in an extant condition. In particular it is designed to explore the dialectic of Building and Place. At the core of this issue is a debate about the relationship between the obvious work – the Building and the subtle context in which the work must sit – the Place.
